With the star-studded cast of The Expendables 2 arriving in London for the film's premiere last night, fans were out in force to catch a glimpse of their heroes.
Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Scott Adkins joined director Simon West and producer Avi Lerner, and there were plenty of huge film personalities to enjoy amongst the usual parade of TOWIE types and preening fashionistas, as well as the odd Olympic legend in the form of Usain Bolt.

Grabbing hold of Scott Adkins, who plays the villainous Hector in the film, we asked whether it was an intimidating prospect stepping on set with the action legends he was acting alongside. "Very intimidating – the first day was with Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Chuck Norris, Bruce Willis, Van Damme. I did my best to stay professional and remind myself that I was there to do what I had to do."
A fellow journalist was keen to know how much training he had to undergo to mix it up with the heavyweights on show here, compared to his previous physical work in the Undisputed films. It was clear in his answer that the series newcomer had enjoyed working on the film: "It didn't really differ – if you stay ready you don't have to get ready. This sort of film is my bread and butter, I'm ready to go now! I'm ready to go right now with one of these guys if it kicks off!"
